WHAT I AM DOING TO PREPARE FOR THIS NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS + SOLAR ECLIPSE & THE TRANSITION INTO THE FIRE HORSE YEAR
PLOT TWIST: there is little to “do” here. It is more about listening.
Eclipses are not a time for manifesting. Not a time for ritual.
1. NO RITUAL
Your ritual happens in the days before: you clean the house, clear and prepare your space. The day of the eclipse is a day for sitting in deep listening and stillness.
Eclipses are a time to sit in the dark. To listen. To let secrets reveal themselves.
2. RESPECT THE PORTAL
In occult tradition, eclipses have always been treated with reverence - and caution. They were never seen as “supercharged new moons” to slap your vision board onto.
They are ruptures. Openings in the fabric of what you thought was fixed.
Ancient practitioners would stay indoors, cover mirrors, refrain from spellwork: not out of fear, but out of respect for the sheer power of what was moving through.
An eclipse doesn’t ask what you want. It shows you what’s true.
3. WORK THE WINDOW
The real invitation lives in the space between eclipses : this corridor between now and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on March 3. Think of this as a hallway between two doors. What falls away now is making room for what arrives then.
Between now and early-March:
→ Pay attention to what exits your life without you forcing it
→ Notice what keeps showing up — in conversation, in dreams, in the corners of your attention
→ Write it down. Not to “manifest.” To witness.
→ Let yourself be rearranged
4. LISTEN TO THE FIRE HORSE
We are entering the Year of the Fire Horse - a year of speed, intensity, independence, and rebellion. The Fire Horse does not wait for permission. Paired with this eclipse in Aquarius, the message is clear: the old structures cannot hold what is coming.
You don’t need to push. You need to get honest about what you’ve been gripping that was never yours to carry.
The eclipse will do the rest.
Sit down. Get quiet. Let it work.
