First of all, I wanted to start off by saying a big fat sorry — normally we get our monthly forecasts out in advance of the month, however with the passing of my pop and a moving of house, it totally slipped me.

Right on theme for July, I would say.

This month is the month Astrologers have been talking about ahead of time — it is an intense month which kicked off with a series of planetary movements on the 30th of June (Melbourne AEST) with a full moon in Capricorn, Mercury stationing retrograde in Cancer where it will remain until it stations direct again on the 24th of July, and Jupiter moving into Leo… all within one day.

Jupiter changed signs, from the watery Cancer, where it has been since June 2025, until now — entering Leo on the 30th of june at 3.52PM Melbourne time. This moon was a deep dive into the unconscious feminine body — many reported feeling exhaustion, needing to sleep more. This is the gift of a full moon in Capricorn… she is yin earth and she summons us down deep into the body to listen to what is emerging in the unconscious. With Jupiter moving into Leo, the sign that rules the heart and spine, we may have started to feel activation in this area… or just a little more audaciousness that we have not felt for some time.

I know myself personally, I had a chiropractic session that day that was focused on my thoracic spine and heart. I have seen a number of clients online since then, and there is a big theme around heart healing & opening. This makes sense, with Venus also currently in Leo, where it remains until it enters the sign of Virgo on Thursday, July 10, 2026 at 3:22 AM Melbourne time. This is a really big moment, as Venus comes to meet and conjunct the South Node on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 5:34 PM Melbourne time. We are rewriting the script with this alignment. Think: big relationship closures, particularly related to relationships that are karmic in nature, with the south node in the mix here. You may also experience physical purging of the gut in this time, with the sign of Virgo ruling the gastrointestinal system. If you are going to fast, now is actually a good time. Or just eat lightly. Be gentle on your digestive system.

As Venus moves into Virgo, turning our attention toward the small intestine, the gut microbiome, and the daily rituals that either regulate or dysregulate the nervous system. A supportive backdrop for recommitting clients (and yourself) to unglamorous, consistent self-care — routines, not overhauls. My favourite product for biome restoration is Black Stuff. It is one of the only “supplements” I take religiously, daily. Healthy terrain is key for overrall health and vitality — You can purchase black stuff here.

If you're fasting through this window as you noted, the bitters (dandelion, and a little gentian if you have it) before your first meal will support the Virgo-ruled purge without overtaxing the system Venus is trying to soften.

Other Herbal allies for this window:

  • Hawthorn (Crataegus) — the classic heart-mending herb, Venus-ruled, cardiotonic and astringent. It doesn’t force the heart open; it strengthens the muscle around old grief so release doesn’t feel like collapse. Use as a tea or tincture through the days surrounding the conjunction.

  • Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) — literally “lion heart,” a fitting bridge herb as Venus exits Leo. Traditionally used for heart palpitations tied to emotional upheaval, and as a releasing herb for the reproductive and nervous systems. Good for anyone feeling the karmic-relationship theme in the body, not just the mind.

  • Dandelion root — bitter, Virgo-ruled organ (liver/gut) support, and a gentle purgative. Bitters wake up discernment; this is the “is this love real” question Venus in Virgo asks, metabolised.

  • Fennel or ginger tea — if physical purging shows up as you described, these settle the gut rather than suppress the process.

A ritual for you:

Light a candle at dusk on the 10th, when Venus and the South Node are exact. Write down one relationship or relational pattern that has run its karmic course. Hold hawthorn tea in your hands while you read it back once, silently. Then either burn the paper or bury it — burning if the theme is transformation, burying if the theme is composting into new growth.

Virgo is an earth sign — however it is between Earth and Air and it is also mutable, so it can really create a lot of friction in the mind… particularly hypervigilance and perfectionism. Be aware of that. And also be aware of the fact that when the gut is out of balance, this mental agitation will be stronger. Try and root into the earth and into earthly rituals with herbs — it can help take you out of the agitation and to anchor and root the energy.
